- Native Gardener's newsletter is sent via email to those who opt in to the subscription. The newsletter is sent via an email marketing platform that also stores your information. Recipients can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link on any of the newsletter emails, or alternatively by emailing kiaora@nativegardener.co.nz.

- You have the right to access, modify or request the removal of any personal data Native Gardener may hold for you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, or are concerned about the manner in which Native Gardener has collected and used your personal data, please present your request or concerns in writing. - How your personal data is kept secure
- The protection of your personal data is taken seriously, and as such personal data is always stored in a secure environment to prevent unauthorised access. Native Gardener may at times use external data service providers to process personal data on its behalf. When doing so, there will be an agreement in place to protect the data. Any data transfers to external service providers are conducted by secure means. Native Gardener may also partner with other businesses or sub-contractors to fulfil a service (for example, a green waste service, tree felling company or landscaper). In these circumstances personal data is shared on an as-needed basis with the relevant third party. This would normally include property address only, but in some instances could also include your name, address, and contact details. Such instances would be disclosed in advance of personal data being shared, and personal data would be subject to the third party's privacy policy.

- Personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary, and this will vary according to the purpose it is used for. Subscribers who are not engaging with the newsletter content will be routinely removed from the database.

- As is common with other websites, log files are stored on the web server saving details such as the visitor's browser type, referring page, country and time of visit. Cookies may be used to remember visitor preferences when interacting with the website.
- External links and third party services
- Browsers who use a link on the Native Gardener website to visit another website will be subject to that website's rules and policies. Similarly, browsers who request a service from a third party (regardless of whether the third party was referred by Native Gardener), will be subject to the third party's rules and policies. Native Gardener's Privacy Policy will no longer apply.
